Free Text Search

Since 1996, San Diego State University has maintained a database of example WebQuests. This database is kept up to date and weeded out when a link goes bad (as volunteer time permits). As of this writing, the database contains over 2500 WebQuests. You can search for any string of characters in the Title, Description, Author name or URL.

NOTE: The Free Text Search is undergoing some technical problems. We'll be working on it as time permits over the next few months. Meanwhile, please use the QuestGarden Search just below. You'll find plenty of WebQuests there.

Search the SDSU Database for Catalan English Dutch French German Portuguese Spanish language WebQuests with ...

in the Title or Description Author URL .

If you type two words in, they'll be treated as a phrase so in general type in only one word as a search term unless it's a phrase like New England.

QuestGarden Search

QuestGarden is an online authoring and hosting system for WebQuests. Since 2005, over 20,000 WebQuests have been created on the site. QuestGarden members can download WebQuests created by other teachers and adjust them to meet their specific needs. Though there is a wide range of quality, QuestGarden WebQuests tend to be more up to date and complete than WebQuests found elsewhere.

Can't find something in the SDSU WebQuest database? You can search more broadly by going to Google. Type a word or phrase that describes a topic that you'd like to find a WebQuest about and see what you get. Be aware, though, that the quality of what you find will vary widely, and that many (if not most) pages that call themselves "WebQuests" are really something else.
